In 2020, containment had a considerable impact on the after-sales business, and dealerships were hard hit.

The SCALA group came up with the idea of sticking a QR code on the inside of the door of each vehicle taken in at the workshop, enabling the vehicle to be connected to its dealer. When the customer wishes to book an appointment, there's no need to phone: they scan the QR code, identify themselves and book their appointment online. Even once the vehicle has been resold, the QR code enables the new owner to keep in touch with the original dealer.

This idea, as simple as it was ingenious, generated more than 700 connections during the containment period, with a 50% conversion rate! In the end, the SCALA Group achieved a 5% increase in sales for a virtually cost-free implementation!

This solution, which won the Journal de l'Automobile's Prix de l'Innovation Après-Vente in 2020, is integrated into the MecaPlanning workshop appointment scheduling tool.
